    I wonder if there is a clause in the warranty agreement about a salt pool. There were comments posted on this topic a while back. Also, about saving the water, check this thread:

    Well I wanted to follow-up on this post. Artesian has no warranty exclusions on using an SWG. The Echo Canyon II is a hybrid resin and steel pool. They have agreed to replace the entire pool wall and bottom track under their non-prorated warranty. The Triac pool liner will be covered under their pro-rated 25 year warranty. I have to pay for 40% of the replacement cost. Since we live outside the city limits and are on a well water system during a terrible drought I contacted the city about other solutions. They volunteered to put a meter on the closest hydrant. Total cost to fill the 26000 gallon pool is about $127. I do need to supply the hose to the meter. The only other cost is the contract labor to tear it all down, replace the wall and install the liner. I'm being quoted $450-$800.
