I was out doing some pool maintenance a couple of weeks ago and noticed our pool liner in one spot has pulled away from the coping and dropped down almost to the water level. In working under the deck I also noticed a lot of rust along the bottom of several of the steel walls on the pool. It appears we have a leak somewhere but I have been unable to locate it. The liner has been in place since 2005. I believe our Artesian Echo Canyon pool came with a lifetime warranty on the frame so I'm going to contact the company and dealer about that issue. What complicates the problem is we have an aluminum deck and fencing completely around the pool and it's a salt water pool with an SWG. We are also in the middle of an extreme drought here in central Texas and on a well system. I don't like the thought of draining and refilling 28000 gallons of water. Also concerned about the effect of salt on the top soil and plants. I plan to pay someone to do the work but is there anyway to reuse the treated water. (Water storage?) I plan to replace the liner and the defective wall panels.
Any ideas on cost for such a job? Most pool places contract the work out and I'm still waiting on a few callbacks.
Deck and fencing will need to be removed to get to the top rails.
