If you have photos as Ben asked, send them to poolforum AT gmail DOT com.
I will soon! Thanks, work has been crazy!!! I'll have my wife take them!
when I need to back wash when my pressure is up, my inline chlorinator will not fill up. Mine needs the psi to be under 20 for it to work correctly. After a filter cleaning with new de I usually run 8 psi.
you may want to try cleaning your de grids and see if the increased circulation fills the chlorinator.
Hi sunofthebeach! Welcome back for another season. I have always thought your username was very clever.
I see the same thing with my Hayward CL-200 inline chlorinator. When you take the lid off the water drains out. With the lid on the chamber is filled with air with no place to go. That is, no bleed mechanism. The thing will fill with enough water to work as the pressure in the pipes at the chlorinator will compress the air bubble some and let it work.
