go with the 40k cell! I have one on my 6800 pool and it works wonderfully, You want to oversize the cell because in the long run you will have less problems with pH stability since the on time of the cell will be much shorter!

I'm gonna bump this old thread.

How do you run the 40K on that small a pool? I have a pool that is 12,200 gallons and was worrying the 40K would be too big and I wouldn't be able to crack the cell down low enough.

One easy way that works with many SWCG's is to use a timer on the power cord.

I was thinking of one of those Fancy 3 circuit Intermatics as well. But this works too.

The Goldline units can be set down to as little as 1% on time so they are pretty easy to adjust. A 15k cell set to 25% produces about the same chlorine as a 40k cell set to 10%.
