Pricing info is NOT something we can usually help with -- pool construction costs vary widely from one locale to another. Also, you don't say what the overall dimensions of the pool will be, nor the volume.

I *was* impressed positively by some of the plumbing details in the list you provided.

Thanks for your answer! I'm actually not as concerned about price (though any insights would certainly be welcomed!) as I am with equipment parameters and brands, etc! Thanks for pointing out that I may have not been so clear on that. I'm really trying to assess whether I'm asking for the right equipment, given what I'm trying to get built. As to dimensions, I did the whole pool chart survey, so thought no need. Sorry about that! It's essentially a 32 by 13, holding about 16,600 gallons.

Any suggestions re pump, filter, lights, SWG, et al?

    Cheers,

+ Whisperflo is an excellent pump -- but get a 2 speed model.

+ I personally don't like cartridge filters, but large ones seem to perform well on the West Coast, in areas where there's not a lot of debris (leaves, bugs, etc) getting into the pool.

3' of decking might not be enough? I have 8" on one side and four on the other. four seems to me like the minimum or it feels tight when you walk past peopel ect... I also had my concrete contilevered 1.5" ofer the pool edge and it gave a very high end look.

In New England the price would be much higher than what you're paying.

Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately my yard is too small for more than 3'
Will look in to your idea re. cantilevering, cheers.
