You're in Arizona . . . you can't assume it's calcium, unless you've tested with acid, and determined that acid will (1) make it fizz and (2) make it come off.
There are a bunch of places in the Southwest with some pretty nasty water supplies. It doesn't seem to hurt people, but it's hard on pools. Magnesium, silica, and more.
Are you sure it's calcium? Have you tested your water -- strips don't count -- with a K2006 or something equally reliable?
