Pool water cloudy due to not backwashing Zeobrite

You can read the post or in a nutshell I changed from sand to Zeobrite, didn't backwash first before running the filter and now my pool is one big dust cloud.

Manuf. says to use flocculent run the filter for about an hour on recirc. then let the pool sit for as least 24 hours. The bottle I have says to dose run the filter for 24 hours so I'm not sure what I should do.

Last night I added 3oz of flocculent to the water I could only see the first step, let the filter run for about 5 hours. This morning I can see almost the 3rd step so it's starting to settle.

Water is now clear. Added some clarifier, 3 doses of it. Ran the filter about 10 hours each day...brushed the dust that settled to the middle of the pool, vac'd to waste. Also have a panty hose on the return to catch any small particles of Zeosand as it's getting rid of all the small particles.
