    This post lists a couple of other alternatives for more quickly adding CYA. Obviously, the Dichlor method should be used over time, not all at once, since it adds chlorine (FC) as well as CYA.

    This year we just installed a 33' round & it needs over 5lbs of CYA.
    So i am going to try to use something like this method pictured here from PatL34 http://www.poolforum.com/pf2/attachm...0&d=1147012424
    I think this is what some of the other posts are referring to.
