If "FAC" = free available chlorine, and "TCL" = total chlorine . . . you've got goop in your water that has NOTHING to do with your filter.
There are many possible kinds of 'goop':+ ammonia based algae treatments (Green to Clean, Yellow Out, etc)But . . . I don't trust your testing!
+ bromine based algae treatments (anything made by United Chemical)
+ partially 'eaten' stabilizer (if you didn't drain and refill your pool)
+ X-in-1 pool 'chlorine' that is mixed with only God knows what. (Clorox, Arm & Hammer pool chems, and many others)
Unless you used a freshly calibrated pH meter, there is no way you could get a result of "9.0". Your pool could BE at 9.0 -- a huge dose of pH Up would do that -- but you just couldn't test it: no pool test methods measure that high.
So . . . get a HTH 6-Way Test Kit from Amazon or Walmart, retest, and report what you find.
