Shouldn't be long. At the time that you registered, we had a whole slew of people all at once. Probably like 3 or 4 pages of threads to wade through! So sorry for the delay. Ben did a LOT of them yesterday and hopefully will have time to get to yours today. It is a slow process unfortunately and sometimes when the forum is busy with lots of questions from existing members, we don't get as many processed in a day as we would like. It will definitely be worth the wait, though. I can promise you that!
Again, glad to have you join us!![]()
. . . membership updated.
You may want to omit the in-floor cleaning, and select an booster pump cleaning systems instead. The in-floor systems are HUGE energy hogs, because of the high pressure they require to operate -- and you are stuck with an oversized pump even when the cleaner is off. Also, they tend to fail irreparably after 5 years or so. You can replace the pop-up, but you cannot replace the cartridge the pop-up goes into . . . and it wears, too. (Possibly someone has finally come up with a 3 piece popup: shell, cartridge and pop-up, so ALL the wearing parts can be replaced!)

Thanks for the feedback, it seems to be a better/newer design but all can/will fail.
We have set to go in:
Presidential Pools 30' L x 17 W x 3.5-5.5' (89' perimeter) / Baja Step / Q-360 in-floor / Pentair VS3050 Pump with 420 filter / IC 40 Salt System / LED pool light /
3' Sheer decent spill / Radiant Fusion (think Pebble Sheen) Regal Blue / Acrylic Lace decking in Tea & Cream

Is that mustard algae in the next to the last photo? Are they charging extra for that?

Be sure to follow the builder's instructions on maintenance during the first 6-8 weeks that the pool is curing ( you said similar to pebble-tec). pH may well rise constantly, requiring additions of muriatc acid. You may also need to maintain calcium levels in the water as instructed. Ironically, new concrete pools may do well with tri-chlor tabs as they add acid and stabilizer (CYA) as well as chlorine.

Thanks Carl for the feedback and will do.
