Yes, your filter is small. With 26,000 gallons, a 24" filter would be appropriate. (300lbs, usually).

I have a new Lomart 30' round pool with a deep end around 6' it is around 26000 gallon. The pump and filter is doughboy 1 1/2 hp and 150lb sand (is that to small) with a pool frog (in ground) mineral chlorinator.
1) should I return the filter and up grade?
2) My pool has 2 walls with 2 skimmer and return holes, I will be hard pluming this what do you thank about plumbing both returns I have the fittings for both so it will just be some extra pipe or is this a waste of my time?
I wont have leaves getting in my pool just allot of dust and dirt.
