    Default New filter with Zeolite

    Just installed new filter with Zeolite instead of sand. Backwashed many times per instructions. But pool doesn't seem to be clearing up as fast as in the past.
    Anyone have a similar experience?
    Any tips or comments will be appreciated.

    Forgot to post my pool info.
    40X20 -- L shaped -- 8.5 at deep end with diving board
    32000 gallons (reported to us)
    Hayward 1.5 hp pump (we run it 24/7 during the season)
    New Hayward S244T filter (turnover 37200 in 10 hours)
    New Zeolite sand (150 pounds)

    We've seen no evidence that Zeolite offers any benefits over sand.
