Liner repair

Opened my pool and found my liner floating. I pumped the water from unground and then found water level well below what it was hen I closed the pool last year. Need Help!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can't assume that the missing water leaked under the liner: that's possible, but there are other possible explanations too.

1. You probably need to determine if the pool is still leaking. Start a bucket test (http://pool9.net/bucket-leak/ .

2. If it's NOT leaking, raise the level 6" and see if it leaks then: it may have gone down to the level of the leak -- if so, you'll at least have a much better idea of where to look.

3. Fix the leak.

4. Look for wrinkles BEFORE you fill back up. If you're going to need to put vacuum on the liner, drain it, & fix the wrinkles -- do it BEFORE you refill the pool.
