Default Consequences of filling in the drain in the deep end

we are replacing the liner in our in ground pool. I was wanting to know if it is ok to fill in the drain in the deep end and cap off the line at the pump. Will there be in negative effects. we have a automatic pool vacuum.

    1. Somewhat poorer circulation. If your pool is prone to mustard algae, this could make it worse.

    2. Many automatic vacuums do not pick up fine dust, so you may have to manually vacuum that.

    3. You won't be able to drain your pool below the skimmer throat, without using a separate pump.

Thanks. I think we are going to try and keep the drain. Hopefully no problems.
