That's the stuff Ben, I always had some on my truck. I would attach it to the brace channels with heavy duty self tapping screws. Once a channel is properly set it's next to impossible to get under it to hold a nut in place. I would cut the old straps with tin snips and lay the new one over the top of the channel. I would cut the new one as long as I could, almost rail to opposite rail. This allowed plenty of room for using multiple screws.

I checked to find a smaller roll and a 25' one is only $20.00. Twenty bucks for one strap and problem solved.
