5061 gallon Intex. Planning on doing the BBB method (used BBB last year with a smaller pool) and may add a SWCG. How much stabilizer should I add? Is the hth brand suitable? I'm attaching a picture of what I have available locally.

I think that is ok but can't read the percentages of cya and inert from the pic.
I can read them -- it's fine. You can use that product.
Just remember that that form is VERY slow to dissolve. If you add it via the filter, leave your pump on continuously for 4 days. Otherwise, do like Watermom and hang it in an old athletic sock near a return.
We decided to bite the bullet and buy the SWCG tonight. What is the optimum CYA level for use with one of those?

High-ish. I haven't read the Intex manual -- but you can find it here: http://www.intexcorp.com/index.php/manual-video/
Remember -- do NOT use the SWCG to start up or shock, etc. Just for routine chlorination!
Also, disconnect the wires to the copper electrodes, unless 'green hair' is not a threat to your family.

Can you recommend a way to go about introducing the CYA, start up chlorine, etc? The kids want to get in it tomorrow afternoon. Not sure how long they'll stay in it, since the water coming out of the hose is 66 degrees. How do you keep chlorine in the pool while the CYA is dissolving?
