    It is always best to run the pump continuously for 4 or 5 days after adding CYA.

    Or, just use dichlor to chlorinate for a week or so.

    If you need 5 pounds of stabilizer . . . using 10 pounds of dichlor will do the same thing, PLUS it's soluble AND chlorinates your pool. (Just don't keep using it for a long time after you've added your stabilizer, since you'll end up with very high levels of CYA that way!)
