    Default New AGP Install

    Afternoon,

Over the weekend we installed a above ground pool we set the liner in and started filling it. The pool is filled maybe 2/3 of the way but noticing a lot of air in the top of the liner. Does anyone have any tips on what to do here. I haven't cut the liner for the skimmer yet either. Local pool store could not advise me any.

With the pool being filled this high will it be bad to pull off all the top rails and coping and them adjust the liner again? I do see that the liner is not exactly pulled up correctly. Like 3 inch of over hang here and maybe 2 inch here and so on.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

AG liner installation is not one of my areas of expertise. Here's the best I can offer:

    1. Search Youtube for a helpful video, using the search phrase 'above ground liner install' -- but be careful, there are a lot of idiots on YT. These 2 vids looked promising, but I didn't watch but a few seconds:

    2. Check the liner companies for installation guides. Here's a Doughboy guide: www.pools.com/doc_library/docs/Liner installation.pdf

    3. If you find some thing helpful, please post those links back here. Thanks!

    4. Good luck!

    Thanks for the reply.

Yes I do know what you mean about youtube. I looked at those 2 videos seen one. I pretty much did what i did based on videos and instructions only thing I didnt do was make sure i got the liner over the top far enough. Makes me nervous not being out much and being my first pool like this. The shop vac is something new i didnt use yet.

Going to give that a try later today and see how that goes.

Indeed I did figure out the trick. Once it was filled the air was captured at top. I went back and pulled a few of the support rails off and pulled the liner up. No air bubbles now. Now just got leak at the skimmer bottom at wall and around the jet.
