7.5 is fine.
No idea about cloudiness -- what is your chlorine level?
Even a brief period with low chlorine will result in cloudiness, ESPECIALLY if the pool is being used.

As they say, "if it wasn't for bad luck, you'd have no luck atall!"
With an AG pool, the obvious first step is to go over the outside of the pool carefully. Once you've eliminate the bits you can see, all that's left is the floor!
Unfortunately, that's harder. You almost have to have SCUBA: the process of diving down stirs the water so much that you can't follow the dye currents. Here's a video of me leak checking a skimmer throat (pump off, of course): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y90c7pYMgPc
cant post any where but here/ So next year we are thinking a bigger pool /
How big is our 3/4 horse sand filter good for?

Maybe 15,000 gallon, max.
Is that maybe to be safe, or GOOD GUESS. I still cant post anywhere but here?

You can post in most sections, but you're posts are 'moderated' or checked before appearing. That's standard for new members who haven't provided verifiable personal info.
(And no, I don't think you are a spammer. Based on your current posts, the odds are about 98% that you are not. But that still leaves a 2% chance you are . . . and an unleashed spammer may robo-post 20 - 50x before I can stop them.)
