Hello, new person here. We have an above ground 24' round with a ripped liner that we're replacing. The hubby pulled back the old liner and noticed there is a lot of mildew on the gorilla pad. Does it need to be replaced? Is there something we can spray on it to get rid of it or do we just lay the new liner on top of all that nasty stuff (I hope not)
    Hope someone cal help.

    Thanks

Mildew doesn't cause structural damage to liners, but it does occasionally result in a black mildew pigment bleed-through. I don't have the experience with liner replacement to assess the risk of this on your pool.

But, if you're not fussed about some grayish pigment bleed through (not very visible on patterned liners), I don't think I'd worry about it.
