I do not understand why there are so many steps to post on this forum. I have been trying to get on this for one hour, and still no luck.
I got an email that said to follow the instructions in this email and the one to follow. there was no " one to follow".
I received an activation ID that I haven't seen yet where I need it.
My account says its activated, but this is the only part of the site I can access.

avemaria is exactly right. We do have steps in place to make sure that we can keep the forum safe for our members. We have had trouble with hackers causing trouble and are simply trying to limit the possibility of issues. But, it is a great forum with lots of good people and lots of good information. It is definitely worth the wait to have your registration checked out so you can participate. Hope you'll think so, too!
Welcome to the Pool Forum!
. . . membership upgraded.
@Froggypool: When I process registrations, I check addresses (if given) against Google Maps . . . since spammers and hackers sometimes give addresses, but rarely valid ones. But when I checked yours, and compared it to your user name, I had to laugh:
That truly is a "froggy pool".I hope it doesn't look like that now.
It's strange to me is that I've never, ever seen people in a pool on G-Maps. My guess is, Google knows that at their home pool, many people aren't dressed in a way that they'd want displayed on the Internet, so Google automatically digitally 'paints' over the people with water or deck imagery.
(By the way, I'm the only one who can see your address, and the image is a screenshot, not a link to Google Maps, so your location is protected.)
