Figured it out. The voltage was set at 230 V in error inside the motor. Works fine now.
Just replaced the 1 hp motor on the Hayward pump system. Also replaced the 120V socket since it was corroded and worn from age. voltage and current are fine and can be ruled vout.
Installed normally.
Turn on motor
Water goes up the tube to the sand filter
Once the water gets inside the filter the motor speed AND pressure goes up and down and then the motor heats up and shuts down.
Tried the filter waste setting and the pump system works fine. Water pumps out and the speed of the motor and pressure is constant.
What is the issue and how do you fix it.
thanks Rick
