Default Wanting to view the pool galleries

I don't really have any questions yet.

We are looking at purchasing a home that has a pool and I joined the forum hoping to view the various pool gallery photos to see how others have decorated and/or placed patio furniture.

    Thank you.

So, instead of being granted access to join the community and view the forum threads as a registered member, it is suggested that I log out and view as a guest. As an fyi...I viewed the forums as a guest prior to registering. As a browsing guest, when attempting to view some of the gallery photos, I encountered the message that I did not have permission to access the page therefore I registered for an account. While I don't understand the logic of your response, I respect that forums are all moderated differently and I'll look elsewhere for reading about pool ownership and viewing pool gallery photos for furniture ideas.

I'm sure when Dave answered your post, he didn't realize that the pool galleries were not available to non-members. There have been a lot of new members registering in the past couple of days. As soon as Ben gets your registration completed you'll be able to view that section of the forum.

    Thank you.

To clarify, as a guest you can view the galleries, but some of the photos are not displayed. Instead of seeing the photo you see the file name of the photo such as filename.jpg. When I click on the .jpg I would receive the error. I suspect that posts containing photos hosted outside of the forum with a link such as photobucket or flicker are visible for guests and those that are posted via the attachment icon require account permissions. I could be mistaken though. Regardless, I appreciate your response as well and this isn't that big of a deal as I know I can find pool information and galleries all over the internet I just came across this forum and thought it would be a good place to start.

Hope you'll stick around either way. Besides being able to look at pictures, this forum is an awesome place to learn about how to take care of a pool without spending your life savings! Do you have a pool yet? Do you have a good test kit? If not, that is the most important thing you need to manage your pool. We think everyone should have a Taylor K-2006 or 2006C (better buy) kit. You can find it on the test kit link in my signature.

Also, take a look at our sister website poolsolutions.com. Lots of good info there, too!

@Watermom: You're right, I didn't know that the pool galleries were unavailable to non-members.

@smdebnam: I also hope you'll stay around and learn about the BBB method of pool care. I understand the new new member registration process is different than most but it really does keep the spammers and scammers away.
