Hi all. Tried posing this question at another forum and I just got more confused. I'm looking to replace the motor on the Hayward pump. The old motor was made by Emerson which I now understand to be US Motors. I tried searching for the closest match which I think I found on this website. The only spec that seems different is the lower amp. Does that make it incompatible? Or any other downside for going this route? Looks like I can't post a picture yet of the label on the old motor. Anyway I could email it to one of the mods? If not here are the specs listed on the label:
2.5HP 1.1SF. 56 Y frame SF amps 13.4-12.0/3.8-4.1
Model R63CXDRS-250
SP3220Z2MER
RPM 3450-1725

PS. "I be a Lee" too, by ancestry if not by last name. My great-grandmother was Helen Lee, and I'm told, was Robert E's great-niece. I'll have to check that at Easter dinner today: my sister is the one who gotten the genealogy bug.
