Not that I've ever tried it, but I don't know of any reason why all that extra DeckOSeal would cause a problem.
Well I did something stupid which I hope doesn't come back to bite me. I decided to replace my mastic joint myself. Took all the old stuff out and got the joints all nice and clean. Added a little sand and some backer rod to the joint to bring it closer to the top. My wife comes back from the pool store (I know bad idea) and explains to me that the pool guy says not to use sand. Stupid me decides to take all the sand out which now leaves my joint very deep in some areas. Long story short we put in way too much Deck O Seal and a great deal of it went under the flagstone coping and filled the voids that were originally filled with sand. Other than waisting a ton of the deck o seal and the money associated with it, is there really any potential damage I could be causing by putting it all in there?
