3) How old is your pool? I'm guessing 10-20 years old.
4) What size is it (dimensions, not gallons--they run from 12'x20' to 20'x40'), and do you have a deep end? 16'x32' no deep end.
5) How extensive is the problem? Is it only in one place, or is it all over the pool? It's still not clear how many nail pops you are seeing. Are they everywhere or concentrated in one area. Roughly, how many?
6) How does the liner generally look? Is it cleanly in the coping or pulling out at all? Liner sounds to otherwise be sound.
7) Did you install it yourselves, or did FantaSea send their team to do it for you? Clearly you took it apart, moved it, and re-assembled it.
8) Have you had any other mechanical/physical problems with the pool? I'm guessing "No"
9) Have you spoken to Leisure Living/Pool Supplies Tech Support (They own FantaSea and Kayak pools)? Maybe this should be #1. I gather this is "no"
Here's what I'm thinking:
Simplest fix: Replace the one nail popping through with a screw, then patch over it. But the problem will keep coming back.
IF the nail pops are high up in the liner, you MAY try unhooking the liner, and pulling it down aways to get at the nails, then popping the liner back in the track in the coping. I find a hair dryer (with a GFI) works very nicely to soften the liner.
IMHO, the best fix is to remove the liner completely, replace every single nail with a screw--stainless or ceramic coated. Then install a new liner.
