PoolRX and other copper / "mineral" treatment processes

I have been using poolrx and it has worked great. No staining are any other side affects. I am just wondering if there are any other like products that other people have tried and worked just as good.

Glad it worked for you.

But, we recommend against using "minera" (ie, copper) systems because they:

=> usually end up staining pools;
=> can prevent algae, but do NOT sanitize the pool;
=> cause green hair, if enough chlorine for sanitation is also used;
=> usually stain plaster or other hard surface pools.

Sometimes, users 'hold their mouth just right' and avoid these problems. But that's mostly luck. So while we're glad you're one of the lucky ones, we won't be recommending PoolRX or any of the dozens of other copper based products.
