I'm having trouble "visualizing the . . . details" too.
I'm sure there's a way to do it; I'm not sure it's a good idea.

I am building a steel wall, vinyl liner pool in upstate NY [read polar vortex]
I am hoping to combine stone coping with a concrete deck but am having trouble visualizing the forming/construction details.
The stone I would like to use is 12"x12" and of course my steel wall is 6" wide.
Is there a way to form a single pour that will leave a void to install my stone?
Should I pour a "bond beam" around my pool 12" wide and set stones, then pour deck w/expansion joint?
My pool is kidney shaped, how do I form at the pools edge/coping track?
Thanks in advance Bill

As far as it being a good idea, stegmeier poured coping results in a one piece coping/deck no?
Maybe a more general question,
How does one incorporate a brick or stone coping into a steel/ vinyl wall pool?
Any chance my thread can be moved to the construction forum?
Thanks
DOH!
sorry
