Failing that, you should consider keeping the pool covered this summer -- sunlight can further damage the liner, and play-use can definitely take it apart.

Best solution to repair upper 12" of vinyl pool liner?
My liner is around 11-12 years old and is starting to come apart and tear around the top edge. Is there a product that I can use to just replace the band (top 12") around the top of the liner. I want to hold off until at least next year to get a new liner because everything below the top 12" is good.
