Tropical Pool Care advice

Hi everyone, I'm a newbie here and have some questions.

Can anyone offer some guidelines for pool care in a tropical location? What to do daily, weekly, and monthly?

The pool is located in Costa Rica (I am living in the US).
Pool temp during the day can reach 85F.
Pool is in the sun for most of the day.
Trichlor chlorinator is being used.
Pool is in-ground, rectangular, approx 12,500 gallons, has 1 inch square tiles throughout.

Sand filter (don't have details on size, make, or model with me)
1 HP pump (no details with me on make or model)
Very little plant debris enters pool.
4 jet inlets
1 skimmer
1 bottom drain

Moderate bathing use (two people rent the house)

Currently pump runs for 6 hours (8:30AM to 2:30PM)

My four biggest questions right now are:
1. If the pool starts to turn green, how to get it back clear?
2. If pool is slightly cloudy, what is best method(s) to get it clear?
3. If pH is low and Cl is high, what are the steps to bring those back to normal?
4. How often should the pool be vacuumed?

Sorry you didn't get an answer.

I'm willing to try to help . . . but only if you are willing to do the necessary legwork. I normally don't spend much time on questions about pools outside of North America, because I've learned I usually can't help. Chemical availability is different; pool equipment is different; operational practices are different; and most important -- there's usually not any way for you to get decent testing done. Here's what's needed:

1. Photos -- not just descriptions -- of the chemicals available to you from both the pool store, and from any big box (Walmart-like) store, including things like washing soda (sodium carbonate), baking soda (sodium bicarbonate), bleach (sodium hypochlorite), and borax (sodium tetraborate). The photos should include legible labels.

2. Photos of the pool AND the equipment.

3. Size info on pump, filter & piping. Measure the piping OD by printing the Go-NoGo gauge below, on stiff paper.

Thanks for offering to help. I am currently living in the USA so getting photos and more detailed information is a bit tricky. We do have a new pool person at the house and our renters say the pool is looking great. I think for now our problems have been solved. Thanks again for offering to help.
