UPDATE: We called a local pool repair company and he said we may have accidently hit a switch on the front of the actuator. We hit the switch and it works perfectly now.
I recently installed a new Hayward circulating pump on my swimspa. We turned on the pump to circulate the POOL and everything was fine except for a VERY small leak at the pump discharge threaded fitting. We "repaired" it and turned on the pump to circulate the SPA and everything was fine except for that same small leak. I let the SPA run for approx. 30 minutes and turned it off. I immediately turned on the POOL side to circulate that water and the POOL water would not circulate. At the same time the water was draining the pool and overflowing the SPA. The POOL will not circulate water. We have two CVA-24 valve actuators. Only one turns when both had always turned at the same time prior to this problem. The actuator that is turning is the one that goes into the circulating pump. The one that is not turning is located between the filter and heater.
What is causing the water to drain the pool and overflow the spa and why isn't the actuator working?
The actuator is appox 9 years old.
Please help before we pull this thing out and fill the hole with cement!!
