Question New to Forum and in process of moving AG Gibraltar(Wilkes), ? center drain

I have read a previous threar re:gibraltar AG moved by other DIY. I saw in there NOT including a center drain. I live in Vermont and therefore have a hard freeze/thaw cycle. Do we need to install a center drain or one low on the wall? Can't we just have the skimmer and return like most AG pools and drain it with a pump or through the skimmer or return when needed to drain it?

Moving AG pools is a dicey proposition; we hear about more failures than successes. That said, a main drain is not essential for pool operation, though it makes it easier to keep a pool clean and sanitary.
