    Default Ionized Pool Question

We have a 60,000 pool. It has the Carefree Clearwater system. My Alk is at 100, my Ph is at 6.8. I want my Alk at 70, but if I put in acid, that will lower my Ph, and my Ph is already to low. Any suggestions?

There's little we can do to help you.

+ We do not support copper ion based systems, because they do not sanitize pool water.

+ Furthermore, if you mix BBB methods with a copper system, you are very likely to stain your pool, without necessarily gaining adequate sanitation.

With respect to your specific question -- you just need to aerate your pool, to achieve your target alkalinity. This page will give you further information: http://www.poolsolutions.com/gd/lowe...p-by-step.html

(NOTE to future readers: this is NOT an endorsement of the poster's alkalinity target, which is too low for most concrete pools.)
