Re: Small Intex pool ph is 8.2 or higher
Sodium Bisulfate (Dry Acid or pH Decreaser) is eaiser to handle and store than Muriatic Acid. It's available where pool supplies are sold, often in relatively small containers. It's pricey compared to MA but in a small pool that means less. It adds sulfur to the pool water which should not be a problem if you drain this pool to store it through the winter. I'd try a dixie cup at a time (dissolved in a bucket of pool water before adding to the pool) mix it in the pool and test pH again an hour later. Repeat as needed.
I wouldn't do anything unless the pH is 7.8 or greater.
