Just had a new IG pool installed. Looking forward to joining the community, getting help and helping as well.

A few questions:

Based in Toronto - do people use solar covers?
What's the best test kit to buy?

On a separate note - why can't I see any of the forums (except this one)?

1. No idea whether solar covers are used in Toronto. What I can tell you is they will reduce heat loss from evaporation, wherever they are used. My guess is that daytime humidity levels are low enough in Toronto for that to matter.

2. The gateway process I used accomplishes two things. First, it confines would be spammers and hackers to a forum section not visible to Google or the general Internet, greatly reducing the value of any spam or hacker links they post. Also, it makes it much easier for us to ID, and remove them, before they reach the general forum. Second, it helps reduce the number of new registrants to a level we can handle.
