Default Changing pool levels in a large in ground nonlined pool

Has anyone ever changed a pool levels in a large in ground non lined pool?
We would like to reduce the height of deep end 12ft to 6 ft.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.

I've done it myself on a large 240,000 gallon pool at a Girl Scout camp, so yes, it can be done.

But . . . I've heard of it going badly. Rather than asking here, you need to ask locally and find an experienced concrete pool contractor to help you. You'd be better off asking the question in September. The sort of contractor you want is going to be covered up with work, right now.

You can do it cheap and wrong, or expensive and correctly. Simply filling in the deepend will be a disaster.

Find a qualified local pool remodeler and talk to them. Post their opinions here and we can help you choose.
