Could you post the link to the pdf you found . . . or email it to me (poolforum@gmail.com). I'm not an AG pool guy, and we've been rather lacking in advice for people moving or buying used pools.

I will caution you that it doesn't go well for a lot of people. But, you are approaching it more carefully than most -- we often hear from people after the pool is disassembled, and parts have been lost!

One further caution: if the liner is more than a year or two old, there's a good chance you'll end up needing a new one, so be prepared for that possibility.
