That filter is no longer a standard Hayward filter -- it seems to have been sold by Leslies -- I'm not really sure. It sort of looks like it's obsolete, and no longer made.
BUT . . . if "green stuff" comes back into the pool when you vacuum, your filter needs service:
(a) you may have a hole in the membranes;
(b) some misplaced or lacking or cracked internal parts;
(c) insufficient DE;
(d) dirty or improperly cleaned grids and membranes.
However, all that adds up to: you need to open the filter, clean it, and service it.
You may want to call Leslies (800.537.5437) or Hayward (908-355-7995) and see if either one will send you a manual. Be SURE to have a photo of the filter, and filter label, with ALL numbers ready before you call. If you can email them a photo, they can possibly send you the right manual, even if you can't read the numbers.
