    Default issues

I have been taking care of my pool for a few years now. This year I replaced almost all the pipes due to leaks. I have checked to make sure there are no leaks now but I still am not able to get a good prime. Also when I vacuum it all comes back into the pool through the jets. I have replaced the de but I noticed when I backwash there is not a lot of pressure like there used to be. I have an inground pool with a Hayward crystal clear 2 filter and pump.

Do you have air in your pump basket while the pump is running?

If so, you probably have a leak on the SUCTION side of the pump. Check the inlet to the pump, the pump lid gasket, and any valves on the suction piping.
