cleaning method for IG concrete pool

New owner to 40+ y/o pool. I was curious to the order of thing when I am cleaning my pool. Currently I brush down the sides the night before the in the morning I skim and vac, backwash then shock and add chemicals. Is this the correct method or am I missing something.

I'm sorry we didn't get back to you. To answer your question, there's no specific order you need to follow, except that if you have algae, you want to brush AFTER you've added chlorine. The reason for that is, that if the chlorine is low and you stir it up, it make take over the pool instead of dying.
