Your pool store guy is right. You don't need an ozonator. As for the plumbing, do what you can to bypass / remove the device.
I have an Ozonator that is no longer working. It was installed when the pool was new. 18,500 gal, in ground gunite. The system also has a chlorine tab dispenser. My local pool store guy say an Ozonator is redundant to the tab dispenser and only need to use one.
Is it worth replacing? If not, should I remove it as it is still pumping bubbles into the pool. Can I leave it hooked up and leave the valve in place as I do not want to go through the expense to remove the valve.
Thank you
