Building a new 16x32 inground pool, standard 8ft deep end. Was told to put in 2 aqua genie skimmers and no main drains. Good idea or not?? If yes, should I put them each 1/3 of the length from each end??
Thanks

Is this what you are talking about?

If it is, I'll make the following observations:
1. I have zero personal experience with them.
2. The skimmers shown are complex devices. In my experience, pool devices that complex *usually* don't work as advertised, but when they do (like the Polaris 360 pool vacuum) they have undergone years of development and improvement.
3. Main drains are simple and do work.
If you want an easy, fairly reliable cleaning system, I'd recommend you look into a Polaris 360 system. These require a built in line, so now is the time to look at it.
