Default new user - really need some help with pool pump replacement

I just replaced AO smith pool pump motor and after replacing everything and reconnecting it just hummed for a second and then died. There is no longer any humm at all, seems like the motor is completely dead or not receiving power. Any advice on how to troubleshoot ? The new motor was set to 220 which matches the old one. I took a picture with my cell phone of the wiring on the old one and mirrored on the replacement. I am guessing this is an electrical problem or the motor somehow shorted out ???? Please help. Thanks in advance !

    1. Post pictures (Picasa, Webshots, Flickr, etc.) of the MOTOR labels from BOTH motors.

    2. After removing power from the motor, open the motor end bell or cap, and verify that the motor can turn freely.

    3. Post pictures of your motor wiring connections.

    4. Tell us what multimeter you are using.

(If your pool is not yet slimed, you can maintain it with 1/2 -1 gallon of plain 6% bleach added nightly for each 10,000 gallons of pool water.)
