    Default New Home Owner.

Just recently bought a home that came with an inground concrete pool. I have an Apollo VA 52-2 Filter system. I can not find any literature on the filtration system. The only thing i can find is a tag on the side that says its a DE filter. I was hoping to find someone else using this type of filter that could copy me an owenrs manual or if someone has uploaded the manual. I would also be set if someone could just walk me through normal pump operation on this system.

    Thank Charles

You can find parts literature and sales offers by searching for "Anthony Apollo VA filter" . . . but I don't believe that there is anyone standing behind Anthony Pools products anymore.

You can see the original part breakdown here, in this scan from www.poolpartsonline.com:

DE dose probably should be the standard, 1 - 2 oz. DE per sft of filter -- assuming that it's a 52 sft filter, that would be 52 - 104 oz of DE, by weight. The 2 oz dose is safer, if you can't find anything on the filter itself.

Looking longer may not help -- apparently, that's a long discontinued filter.

If there's no particular problem with the filter, your best bet may be to call a local pool service guy and have him show you how to operate it.
