    Default Buying Guide

I am looking to buy an above ground pool, either later this year or next spring. Are there any good buying guides which tell the advantages of one type of product (ie, steel vs aluminum) or brand (ie Sharkline, Doughboy, Premiwr) etc on the web?
    Thanks,
    Paul

Not that I've seen. Doesn't mean there isn't one.

But the problem is that few people who are knowledgeable about pools, have real experience with all the brands. Dealers tend to have experience only with the brands they sell, and service guys tend not to be on the web that much.

Watch out for 'independent' comparisons written by sales people! Basically, if you find a comparison that looks slick, polished and professional . . . it's probable done by a sales person or department. The guys that might actually KNOW and be honest, are very unlikely to generate a really nice looking chart on the web.
