Default First post - hayward pump issue

Hi all - first time posting here. I have a 240v 1.5 HP hayward pump on my 19k gal IG pool.

Starting it up for the first time this year, and I get nothing. No humming noise, no pump movement at all.

I can freely spin the impeller, and taking off the back of the pump is show both circuits getting 120v each.

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to whack the pump motor, or gently tap it (2x4 method?) or anything of that nature...

being a new user I'm not allowed to search the forums yet, but would appreciate any advice.

    TIA, and happy swimming!
