    I added the CYA to the pool in the skimmer, then let it circulate for about 4hrs. I purchased Clorox bleach 6% and added that in the evening. I dumped in (4) 96oz jugs.

    To dissolve CYA, you're more likely to need 24 hours, than just 4.

    Add your bleach in the late evening, and run your pump for 24 - 36 hours to dissolve that CYA.
