2" below the skimmer in the pool or below the bottom of the skimmer basket? Does it leak with the pump off?
Hello, I'm loosing water to 2" below the skimmers. It is above the light and returns. We have tested the skimmers, taken out and plugged the polaris, turned off the spa etc. I haven't tested the main drain, but don't think it's there (although I can't be sure.) I'm pulling my hair out, and the water bill is a nightmare. Any thoughts or help would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Just a caution -- finding pool leaks requires a careful, systematic, and patient process. Without this sort of approach, you are quite likely to get results you won't like.

We had a leak last year after our new fiberglass pool was installed. It hadn't leaked until they poured the concrete decking. Turns out that the concrete truck backed over the conduit for the light, causing it to crack and leak behind the light. The pool builder installed a plug of some sort behind the light, which solved the problem. Best of luck.
