    Default Convert FROM Pristine Blue to chlorine

    I inherited a 24 ft AG round pool that hase used Pristine Blue since it was installed in 2007.

    What do I need to do to get started? I just got a new sand filter for the season to replace old filter with a hole in it.

    Thanks in advance!

    Too costly to refill the pool. Opened it up over weekend and have the following test numbers:
    FC=0
    TC=0
    PH=6.0
    Alk=30
    Hard=70
    CYA=0

    What is first step in process? HELP

    I don't know anything about Pristine Blue - sorry. But I can say that a pH of 6 will very likely be damaging to the pool. If this were a chlorine pool, I'd recommend raising the pH with Washing Soda (will also raise Alk) or Borax.

    what is the copper level. Knowing that will give us info on how to proceed. If it is high it is very likely that the liner will get stained if you don't drain and refill at least partially. There are ways to help remove the copper but they are no inexpensive.

    I got water tested other day:
    Got the ecopper level tested last night! Here are the latest numbers:
    FC= .31
    TC= .31
    PH= 7.1
    Alk= 33
    Hardness= 12
    CYA=4
    Copper = 1.0

    I added a 32 oz bottle of Magic Jack Blue stuff to water last night.
    Added 4 lbs of CYA to bring up!
    What is my next step?
