If I am going to be away for about 3 weeks and cannot start the pump/ filter.. can I add Borax Mule to make the salt water pool 20k+) to be more impervious to algae? I see some greenish powder stains in pool. Pools i perfectly balanced but I get some algae now. could it be the terribly high temps now (94-96 degrees). Should I add a floater with Chlorine and possibly even over chlorinate the pool before I leave and add calcium to about 300+ (I heard calcium also helps with buffering chlorine and add 10 boxes or borax mule?

You'd be better off lowering your pool water temperature (or not heating it) and using a large dose of Polyquat 60 algaecide and if you had time to lower phosphates with a phosphate remover then that would also be an option. Low phosphates combined with an algaecide should prevent algae growth even with no chlorine in the water. Though copper ions could also prevent algae growth, they can stain plaster surfaces so would be too risky though in your case you have a vinyl liner -- but you can't easily remove the copper once you've added it so I don't recommend it.
